The King’s Centre
11 kW array
The King’s Centre is a conference centre owned by Oxfordshire Community Churches on the Osney Mead Industrial Estate. It hosts WOCoRe’s first community-owned array.
This 11kW array was installed in 2009 on the roof of the reception building. Its electricity output of around 9,000kWh per year is sold to the centre, and the installation benefits from the Small-Scale Feed-In Tariff support scheme for the first 25 years.
We believe that as well as being host to WOCoRe’s first community-owned array, the arrangement with The King’s Centre was one of earliest examples of a community leasing roof space from a third-party organisation.
