Matthew Arnold

Two arrays, one of 48kWp and one of 52kWp

Operating since 2010, this installation is actually two separate arrays that between them comprise 540 panels and 9 inverters. They have a combined capacity of 100kWp.

The installation is situated at Matthew Arnold School, off Cumnor Hill, Botley. One array is on the roof of the main school block and the second on the roof of the science block.  Typical annual generation is around 90,000kWh, most of which is sold to the school.  The installation also benefits from the Small Scale Feed-in Tariff support scheme for the first 25 years.

At the time of installation, this was believed to be the largest solar PV installation on a school in the country.
