Osney wild community map
WOCoRe and Low Carbon West Oxford are seeking views from Osney residents about creating a forum for people interested in wildlife gardening. Many people who live on Osney Island already support wildlife, for example by growing pollinator-friendly plants, feeding garden birds and providing nest boxes.
Currently there is no community forum through which people interested in wildlife gardening can share experiences, ask questions and swap plants. We’re asking residents whether creating such a forum could help them make Osney an even better place for wildlife.
OLH volunteer Tom Hill, who lives on Osney Island, and is a keen wildlife gardener, has offered to act as coordinator of such a forum if there’s interest. Osney residents can engage by taking the short survey below and providing contact details so Tom can follow up with them.
We also have a board showing a map of Osney which will be on display at the hydro from 2.30pm on 14 June. Local Osney residents can use coloured stickers to indicate the kinds of things they are doing. The map could potentially create a visual display of just how much is already happening. Please come along and add your sticker.
