Following the sad news of her Majesty’s death, the organisers of Oxford Open Doors took the decision to continue the event as an opportunity to honour her contribution to Oxford’s great heritage.
As a result we went ahead with our planned opening on the afternoon of Saturday 10th September and were delighted to welcome 179 visitors at the hydro. Many thanks to all the volunteers who helped on the day.
As ever, we were blown away by the enthusiasm and interest shown by visitors of all ages, wanting to know about the project’s history, technology, aims and impact. You really tested our knowledge!
